Klosters‘ mountains

Immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape of Klosters and experience a special winter day that you will remember forever. Get to know more about all the mountains:

Gotschna/Parsenn

From Klosters, the Gotschna Bahn takes you to the Gotschna-Parsenn ski area, known as the main ski area in Davos Klosters. It offers a great variety of slopes, from beginner level (blue slopes), intermediary (red slopes) to really challenging pistes for the more advanced skiers (black slopes).

The region around the Gotschna mountain station is also suitable for a short winter hike due to its several designated routes. We also recommend the toboggan run from the middle station of the Gotschna Bahn. For a coffee or drink before starting on the slopes or before returning to Klosters by the gondola at the end of the day, we recommend the restaurant in the Gotschna mountain station. The view is incredible!

The descent from Gruobenalp is certainly the easiest slope in the ski area. However, some parts of the slope can be demanding even for beginners. Arriving at the bottom station of the Gruobenalp chairlift, you will find a recommended restaurant with a snow bar as an amazing option to eat outside especially on sunny days. It can also be easily reached by chairlift by non-skiers.

Especially for intermediary and advanced skiers, we recommend the valley descent to Klosters at the end of the day, with its about 1000 meters that must be mastered. That is why we advise less experienced skiers instead to take the gondola down to the valley.

Who wants to ski or snowboard in the part of the ski area with access to Davos, should take the ski lift Furka Zipper, from Gruobenalp to Parsennfurgga, or the Schifer cable car. The descent from Parsennfurgga is an excellent way to get directly to the Weissfluhjoch. Beginner level skiers should note that they must be able to safely ski down a red slope for this descent.

Above the Schiferbahn valley station, you find the Schiferstall restaurant. It is probably the warmest hut on cold days in the whole area for a bite to eat or a coffee. If you are looking for a snow bar with a large balcony in the sun, the Schwarzseealp bar is the place for you – for a short break or a delicious bratwurst barbecue.

Ride and Smile’s teachers aren’t just instructors. They are your guide, helping to hone your skills while showing you all the mountains.

Madrisa circle - Klosters Mountains

Madrisa

Madrisa is a child-friendly, sunny ski area in Klosters, suitable for all profiles of skiers with a sub-area that is particularly ideal for beginners. There is a gondola lift from Klosters Dorf that takes you to the Madrisa mountain station. Once at the top you will find an excellent infrastructure and two very good restaurants – the Madrisa Alp, a self-service restaurant next to the gondola with a kid’s area, and the Madrisa-Hof for a menu a la carte.

In addition to a practice lifts, there is a modern chair lift, an extra-long drag lift and a cozy little chair lift. Madrisa is also recommended if you want to escape the crowds in high season.

The small Zügenhüttli on the Schaffürggli-Zügenhüttli descent with its fantastic view is particularly recommended. It can also be easily reached on foot and invites guests to take a short winter walk.

The Berghaus Erika, serving swiss traditional food, should also not be missing on your list. You will find it on the descent towards Klosters Dorf, but can therefore only be reached by skiers who master a black slope.

At the end of the slope going down to Klosters, we recommend the Kanonenbar, a very traditional place with super helpful staff that is perfect for an apré-ski. If you prefer to end the day with a pizza, the restaurant Madrisa Mia, Italian cuisine, just a few meters away, is worth a visit.
